T he Austin RC flying field is located near Walter E Long Municipal Park and the Exposition Center, off Decker Lane on the East side of Austin, TX.
Directions to the field; From Austin take State Highway 290 East from IH-35, past Hwy 183, approximately 3.5 miles to the new 130 toll road interchange where Decker Lane will be the first stop light. Turn right on Decker Lane, proceed approximately 0.75 mile to a railroad crossing turn left on Lindel Lane which is the first road past the RR. On your right on Lindel Lane will be the warehouse storage yard of Austin Energy. Approximately 100 feet on the right will be the entrance to the ARCA field and Capital Trap and Skeet Club. Spectators are not charged an admittance fee; for general flying and events the best hours to see the planes fly is from about 10:00 am till dusk on Saturday.
