Welcome to the Austin Radio Control Association's (ARCA) website.

Our R/C Club is located near Walter E Long Municipal Park and the Exposition Center, off Decker Lane on the East side of Austin, TX. The address is 8705 Lindell Ln. Austin, TX. (See map) . ARCA has a 575 ft asphalt runway and covered meeting areas located on 20+ green acres. The club is AMA chartered and there are no size or noise restrictions on planes. Guests are welcome to fly their Turbine Jets, Electrics, Piston airplanes, Helicopters & Gliders at the field for $3/day if the pilot's AMA membership card is current. Out of town guests may fly free. Applications for membership to the club can be obtained here on the website, or at the field. Spectators are welcome and there is no admittance fee anytime; The best hours to come see the pilots fly is from about 9:00 am till dusk on Saturday and Sunday. During Events a concession stand will be open at the field with burgers, dogs, cokes and water The field has a telephone on site: 512-272-8402

Club Notices

 Please note that there will be a  field clean up Saturday February 13th starting at 9:00am and Sunday February 14th starting at 9:00am.  The Field will be closed Saturday until 1pm and Sunday till noon.


    Proposed Field Rules /Operational Regulations Changes

-These changes to the rules will be voted on at our February 25th club meeting-

 06.  Taxi operations of prop driven aircraft in the Pits shall be conducted only with the Pilot in complete physical control of his or her aircraft until it is on the taxi way. Jet Turbine or Electric Ducted Fan Aircraft may taxi in and out of the pit area under its own power with the pilot in close proximity of his or her aircraft.

 9a.   Taxing to and from the Runway will be conducted on the taxi ways with the Pilot walking near the Aircraft.

14d. Low high speed passes are to be on the east side of runway opposite of pilot’s stations and spectators and never over the runway.

 21a. Pilots must adhere to the type of pattern being flown by pilots already occupying the air space; (either 3D or normal circular pattern with direction determined by the wind direction). See rules 16 and 17.
