We have a great club, one that we should be proud of. It made me feel good when during several of our past events I had many of our guest pilots come up to me and make the commented as to how nice our facility was. It takes a lot of constant work to keep our facility looking good, just like your home requiring constant diligence and work on your part to keep it looking nice.
While you are out on the field flying, please look around and see what needs attention, take note and e-mail me or bring it up at our next meeting. Don’t be bashful, if you see a job that needs attention please step up to the plate and take a swing at it. The club will look better for it.

RUNWAY PROJECT :
1) Repair cracks in the runway:
(This will be an ongoing project) We need to repair the cracks along the edge and end of the runway with this liquid crack sealer.
The real big cracks we will have to use driveway patch.
2) The runway requires a top sealer along the edges where we patched it to keep it from crumbling.
1) Repair electrical service to the outlets behind the refrigerator and freezer by putting them on separate breakers. They were on separate breakers until the fire ants got into them. (Talk with Patrick, he has the material to do this and will guide you).
2) Paint all the square steel tubing in the concession stand with rust-oleum. (We have 4 disposable brushes and a gallon of rust-oleum)
Repair broken fence line post in front of club house: We have to dig out the concrete base, replace the post and fill the bottom of the hole with a bag of pre mix concrete. Build an 8 foot sq. concrete helicopter landing pad on the north side of the field.
Concrete the picnic area to make ready for a 20 x 30 car port cover over the picnic tables.
Install a 8 foot gate (2 each 4 footer) in front of the Pavilion so flyers can get their BIG airplanes out to the pit area and not damage it with the fence. Lay a concrete sidewalk from the gate to the pavilion.
Repair existing RV outlet boxes and outlet covers.
